This is the hall way to the back three rooms, Jon is going to live back here, and well the computer room is here too....oh and it leads to the bathroom too....

This is Jons room, we brought him a bed so he will feel like he is at home when he gets back from Korea.....

On the right is Jon's room, and straigh ahead is our guestroom....and to the right of Jon's room is the computer room....

This is the computer room, still trying to unpack....and I think I am in need of a bookshelf like really really bad.....

See the full door is the computer room and the open door way is the bathroom....

This is the front entry way...the door to the left goes to the garage and the laundry room, and the hallway is to the right....

This is when you walk into the house from the front door, thats our fireplace, and well the living room

And the little nook area next to the kitchen....we are supposed to put a table there...so huh ya..

Oh I had to take a picture of my kitchen aid that Colter bought me for Christmas....we use it though since well he likes homemade bread and things....

VERY LONG...BLOGGING AT MIDNIGHT

Blogging at midnight seems to be a reasonable thing to do tonight. But I have been putting it all of because of all the things I have been wanting to say and post, while at the same time avoiding the time needed to put into such a blog. So we started the month of August with a visit from Vickie and Kevin. Yup Kevin flew across the great big ocean in a plane for so long to come visit. When they first got here, we were glad they were both here, but Colter still had to work for two days. So I took them on post to get their ID cards, and then showed them around. The next day we went for massages, and had fun cooking a fish that we got from the fish market. HA HA. That was fun. I then crashed...literally for a day to prepare for the next adventure. I went to the doctors office on Monday and then met them in Daejeon which is a two hour train ride from our house. We then proceeded down to Mokpo where we stayed the night, and then woke up got on a boat/ferry and crossed some ocean to JeJu Do Island. Where we then took a cab ride for 30,000 won, about roughly 30 minutes, to our hotel. Ya I know, the island wasnt very big but it sure did have some pretty sites. We spent two days there and ate fresh mandarin oranges...and then we went to go back on our boat and didnt make the first one but made the second and made the last train trip home to wake up to take Vicki and Kevin to the airport.
One of the many waterfalls that we saw....it was way to pretty there.
The ferry ride took us by many islands
Oh the places you find when you travel in Asia and we just wanted pizza....we decided this had help other than asian genes. haha
Vickie could not believe the steepness of this crazy bridge...I just said aww man, up and over...haha cant ever put anything past crazy asians....
Kevin could not believe that we would drag him so far...he claimed we were starving him and working him to much....he also claims to have lost weight on this trip...I guess thats good. But I promise we fed him...Korean food...haha...I blame it on the stairs...
And what is that....the boys were puzzled...lol
Oh this is the bridge later on like, wow its pretty, but its kinda far away...lol
Okay so this is at the botanical gardens and its time to rest...this garden was massive,....
So who knew that pineapples grew this way...I sure didnt....what thats a pineapple plant?
Oh this is on the way to another waterfall....very pretty, by the ocean...
See ocean and more ocean to come...on the boat...Still cant get over the crazy pizza place....this gives a more accurate picture...
Oh midnight hiking is fun too...i know I know its blurry, but it didnt matter at the time....haha
The view from our hotel in Mokpo...
Oh ya, I remember the boys had to oh and aww over the crushing thing...ya it too was outside our doors....and a ship making yard to the otherside....

And my trademark picture...on the train there....we are sooo excited. WE LOVE YOU VICKIE AND KEVIN THANKS FOR THE GREAT VISIT...MWAH!!!!

Lots of things...TWO in ONE post

So, this is what my front walk in room looked like when Colter J didn't have a garage and HE decided that he just could not wait one more minute until he could work on his bike, so since it was raining outside...my walk in room became the garage. He was worried as he said the only working vehicle was under going work...yes the bike...and he might not have all the parts he thought he needed. Now I am used to these kind of talks since most know my Papa or even my brother....but I was proud because he did learn from last time I don't do well with actual rooms in the house becoming garages...like my computer room, or living room. Last time I told him he will have to use the back storage room, but his army gear has now over grown and taken up all that space....so for the long and short we compromised for the walk in room.
But it was all worth it when I turned around and got ready to walk out to talk to him and found him standing like this with his headlight on and everything...yup even the tongue sticking out...this is the ponderous look he sometimes he gets... but I told him to hold the position while I went to get the camera...and I said even the tongue has to stay...but of course he changed that....I told him he moved....
Our other fun time is our newest member of the family, its Antenna...as Colter and Jon like to call her because of her tail...but I call her Anna. She is so cute. We actually went out to dinner and when we came back Jon asked if we had a cat now...I said no and walked out of my room...Colter was like what??...and he was like you guys got a cat....and since Jon jokes alot....I was like no we didnt...he then proceeded to tell me we then had a big rat in our Army room...uhh oh!!! So after we moved in a found that I could move my window but it moved the board that shut the window completely but still let the dryer vent out the window....ya those nifty Koreans...well ya not so...because when I opened the window it left a small hole...ya and apparently Anna could fit. SO she was so nice and cute Colter said I could keep her...he actually likes her she is very friendly and very cute....but she still thinks she should be able to use the hole to get out and the front door to come inside....hmmm I dont know....I dont think so....
She has huge green eyes, and I can't wait for Alison and Stewart to come visit with her...she will like them...ALOT!!! She loves attention....!!!!

I AM SO PROUD OF COLTER

Ya so he might just kill me for posting a picture of him in is Class A uniform...but ya know what he will get over it because he looks so good in it....and well heck we spent so much time and money on it this last week I don't even care. But I am so proud of him because these past weeks have been tough and busy. He went to the field and was in charge of day shift, and then came home to be told he had one week to gather all his things together for his military status because he was going to his last promotion board. This means that he had to have his Class A uniform perfect and all straight as far as the medals and the ribbons. Ya the whole in movie of crazy measuring for the uniform that you think doesn't happen....happened this week. On top of all of this he is yet again on Phase but this time he is the Team leader and is charge of making sure the Apache helicopter is stripped down as far as it can be, and put back together with as many new parts as it needs all in 30 days. He has selected his team and had his briefing today with the battalion commander after his board review. Oh which reminds me he also had to memorize all this information about the army and crazy amounts of Creeds. It was all insane, I spent last night helping him study and I had a headache just from a few hours.
The out come of long days many hours of study and loss of sleep would be that he went to boards this morning all handsome and did get his promotion status, so now he just needs to earn the points to be picked up for E6....Staff SGT..... but also his SGT Major decided he will be sent to the Audie Murphy Boards, which is a great honor and is for all of Korea. So we have yet another thing to study for on top of the A&P test. We are very busy. But doing well enough.

PS: We are doing well and not to worried about our crazy neighbors the North Koreans...lol please don't worry...

What do the Marshall's do for FUN?

Ignore my horrible loud laugh in the background, and watch the "killer plane." Last weekend Jon and Colter came home from a bike ride all stoked to be able to make their planes. As if we don't get enough aviation at work we bring it home too. We seem to like things like this. But Jon's plane seemed to be a bit on the dangerous side. I told the boys the wings need to be moved back....but it didn't go over very well as they moved them forward....lol Needless to say we were the loud neighbors this night....

White Blossoms

So this weekend, we the Marshalls were expected at the going away party for Colter's First SGT. Ya I wasn't too excited since I didn't really like the guy but it was a chance for us to go out and have fun with the guys we do like, and then to go to dinner before the rigors of being Sgt. Marshall kicked in. But on our way out, we were walking down our lovely street and low and behold..... Spring time decided to show up...ya I was way excited....it seems that over night it decided it wanted to be spring time. I could't be happier, and its so pretty with white blossoms everywhere....they line the road all the way to post.
PS: Aur. when you come, you should know that the water park on post is going to be open...

Catching Up

So, I have been really bad at keeping this up...for two reasons.... one I forget to take my camera everywhere, and two I haven;t been feeling good these days. Don't worry I have amazing doctors here in Korea and I have had my thyroid medicine doubled and wow how different I feel. I also have other appt. to follow up with other things. So because I am feeling better we are getting out more. Above is Colt on the bus...
Well the bus has many nicknames... I call it the number 20 bus because that's its name... the soldiers on the other hand call it the "death bus," the "crazy bus," or anything else they can think of. But anyways above is Hawks, Haddix, and Fisk. Fisk is excited he has like 43 days left in the Army...ya he lets everyone know. Haha Hawks is fun he has sometime left but that is a whole bottle of Mango juice he is drinking....ya we love Korea.... and Haddix is actually Jon from previous posts. But we are all going to the movies to see Fast and Furious. And again we love Korea for two of us to go to the movies with transportation included cost 18,000 won. Roughly 12 dollars. Thats great!!!
Oh we got to the movies early so the boys played in the Arcade...they had fun!!!
Okay this is a really bad picture of Lily and Lye. But Colter and I went out to eat with friends and he bought me two Lilies. So I named them and the lived on the coffee table but my camera was a little off when I took the pictures...opps.
And finally here is Colter studying because he is a student too these days. He has decided that the books you read as a student arent very fun. I just laugh...lol

Snowboarding in Korea

So all my pictures are messed up so this is at the very end on the second to last bus. Colter says this picture shows his very big and only weakness. Me...he was very tired. Glad that he went but very tired and ready to be home. Of course I love cuddles even if I am stuffed on a bus.
This is Colter and one of his best buddies from the Army, Jon. Yes that is orange that Jon is wearing these boys for some reason or another like bright colors. Colter is actually dresses very normally. But this is at about 1015PM because the boys were going to snowboard till midnight, but decided they were to cold and wet.
Colter and I at 930am getting ready for our trek home.
The actually lift at the resort...just one of 15.

This is dinner. So the group that ended up going was Colter and I with Jon and Garrett his buddies...and Sgt. Shiroma and his wife (Yeuon actually found us our house) and then one of Colters Cronnies, Bret and some friend of Garretts from the unit. So this is the picture of Garrett sitting down to eat at 530 so he can get back to the slopes.
The map of the slopes its very important to show these things for those certain Daddys and brothers that might be interested.
And here is Jon again but with Garrett. Yes we are sitting on the ground because we went to Korean BBQ and Koreans sit on the ground.

Shiroma and Seuon at dinner. At 1230 the boys after getting back to the hotel that you sleep on the ground.... decided they wanted Chicken they were hungry. Ya I was tired and needless to say Colter was too and I became the chair...and the food took forever to get there.
Oh and we are in the taxi and so excited to get to the resort to start snowboarding...haha
And at last I love this picture of Colter. He is so excited to be snowboarding. Question on a lot of peoples minds is...did Kelsie really go Snowboarding....haha...NO.... silly me I decided to go with Seuon and go get a massage and spend the day at the Spa. LOL SPA OR SNOWBOARDING...I would like to think that was a no brainer.
