MORE STRAWBERRIES

So Colter was not impressed so much with me freezing half the strawberries, and then taking a quarter of the rest to make a fruit salad...and then told him he could not break into my frozen stash. As a result I got a phone call today when he left to go to work to tell me that he was standing on the corner looking at the strawberry man again and that I needed to come get some... my answer went something like we already have enough strawberries... and I was told that we could freeze them if I bought some more so I got my shoes on and went down the street and bought another two kilos.

The House, and today's dilemma...

So here is the house from the outside...we live on the bottom floor so we get the little front yard. But its nice because its not like a high rise. So even the outside is cute. And today it rained, so no its not pollution....lol But in the front door there is a bowl with a frog in it and Colter likes to think that its his pet...his words exactly if I cant have a dog I will have to deal with a frog...except the frog is fake as we later found out...lol
So one might as why am I showing you a bowl with cake batter in it inside a rather small oven. Well here is how it goes... I was so excited to have an oven because in China they dont have one of those...that I went and bought a nice cake pan...hmmm as shown below... yes so who thinks that this lovely pan fits in my oven...?
So the cake pan that I so happily went and bought at the PX then hauled home on two buses and a hike up the hill...doesnt fit and not only does it not fit I already put the cake batter in after whipping it with a fork and then played with a gas...yes gas....oven to find it doesnt fit...not only does it not fit it only doesnt fit because of the handles... so I called up a Husband at work and told him and he laughed and told me I better start filling away...I told him that wasnt funny that I already thought about how I could possibly break them off...
And here is my lovely oven that doesnt fit anything in it...or well big things in it...and one asks why didnt I just buy a littler one...well that crossed my mind when I was at the PX but they didnt have a littler one and well I didnt possibly think it was be small enough not to fit my pan...I was really really wrong...ahhh!!!
PS: The Husband wanted cake so bad that he called with the recommendation to put the batter in the bowls...I also thought of that but I was to digusted to deal with it...but I was informed that we were having company tonight so I went a head and put it in the bowl....hmmm
So if anyone has any ideas for loosing two handles let me know...

The Little Things That Count plus more...

The plus more is that I finally think that I have this whole entire moving in thing under control and Colter goes to his barracks and finds more stuff to bring home...ya...he left this for me today as he had to hurry to work...but its okay...because it was the little things that counted today that made me forgiving of the ARMY GEAR in my front room...
Item one: Aur made me the cutest orange accented apron to bring here to Korea. And for those of you that dont know that Colter's favorite color is orange...Colters favorite color is Orange in all shades...so needless to say cooking in my new apron this morning scored major points....lol
Item Two: These are my new dishes that Colter bought me today. Yes I picked them out and no we did not just get them because they are Orange, or because they are abnoxious.... we got them for the red accents since Colter yesterday bought me RED pots and pans and then I decided that I was going to redo my kitchen table in a red table cloth so I wasnt these dishes, but in Colters grumpyness he did joke with me at the store today... After pointing out the nice pretty white ones...
Me: Honey I think I really just want these ones...can I have these ones...
Colter: Well of course honey you can have those ones...I mean they are the most colorful of them all....
Me: What?...huh...?
Colter: Honey...
Me: Yes?
Colter: Step back and look at them...which ones stand out...
Me: Oh well these ones do..but they are so cute and I think they will match perfectly...why?...do you not like them...
Colter: If you want these ones its your kitchen then get these ones....you get what you want..
Me: Okay I want these ones....
So I got those ones and brought them home and they are so cute and after Colter realized he would have a few minutes to breathe before going to work...he did say he liked them and they were nice....and I told him that it was only because they were mostly orange.... and he said uhh huh... figures...lol
Number Three: So I dont have a picture or pictures yet for this one, but Colter and I live about 15 minutes from base so every morning partly to save money but because its a nice walk, we walk to the base... but its such a nice walk that I enjoy and I think he enjoys it, but he did tell me that he would have to ban high heels on our walk if I couldnt stop tripping...I told him that was nonsense you cant ban high heels, and that with time it would get better, he gave me that look and I then had to explain that the streets in Korea were just like the streets in China and that I just had to readjust to random bumps and dips, and holes in the sidewalks...or no sidewalks at all...but I survived in China I was sure I could do fine in Korea. There was just too many things to look at to be watching the ground to make sure I was okay to walk....Lucky for me my lovable hubby does that for me...LOL
So all in all...I have decided that its the little things that happen everyday that make life with Colter so great!!!

The New House

Alright so the new house is so cute I just love it...Colter actually picked it out before I got here and I think it did an awesome job. So we went for a bit smaller but nicer. It is only a 15 minute walk from base and its in a cute neighborhood. Instead of being in a high rise its actually the bottom floor of a three floor condo/villa sort place. So we have a balcony and front yard that I cant take a picture of because its dark...but that is even cute too. Anyways, it also is surrounded by other Americans, which is nice, but it also is in the middle of Korean culture... Our realitor is actually a wife of a friend and she is so nice and cute, and I think will become a really good friend... so all around the house find was a great success!!!! So on with the pictures...understand that we havnt moved completely or spent the time getting everything bought and such...
So as you can see this is the kitchen... its cute and has wood...so its not so much new age but more comfy...you cant really see it, but I do have a oven...ya an oven...haha but the door in the back leads to the open hall for storage and the laundry room....
In the door is our very bare guest room, but its a guest room. Who can say that. Also with the house rent comes the water jugs, so we dont have to buy bottles water.
This is the Front entry way... the door actually locks itself... we don thave a key to get in...we have a key pad instead...which is nice and then this little storage room for shoes and such things...
Connected to the Master bedroom is the bathroom that has a bathtub and all that good stuff....
So this is the master bedroom and all those doors are closets...ya I am not sure what to do with myself I have so much storage space I cant hardly believe I will fill it all... so its a bit bare...I am still washing everthing and my dryer is having some issues....
This is the computer room across from the master bedroom...its big too... (maybe twins can stay in here instead of in a closet....lol)
We even have a grandfather clock, and I told Colter that we liked this house even better now that I stopped to read the saying on the clock...its in Chinese...haha...Colter was like really interesting....Chinese clock in Korea...LOL
And last but not least the laundry room...ya we have one of those too...and actually I didnt even show you the guest bathroom...wait a minute...haha..opps I forgot them....
So this is the living area, that has a 42 inch LCD tv that Colter is so excited about...oh and so is his buddies at work...what could be better than a place off post that will feed you American food and let you bring your PS3 to play games....lol...but those curtains open to a balcony and the front yard.....And last but least...finally the guest bathroom....
And thats it...I love where I live....Anyone is more than welcome to come visit... Love you all!!!

The Days Before I Left

Alright so before I left for Korea I went and spent some time at Aur's house and got to see the twins do there thing first handed. Oh they had just a great time...and no one really needed to help them out. Crazy...I miss those two...they are funny...
